When entering listings manually on Amazon.com, we have the option of listing a specific sales tax category. If I list via FBAPower, then I have to go back into amazon and edit each msku that I want to be set at my non-default tax category. Otherwise, Amazon will collect tax on everything since I have my default at A_Gen_TAX.
The default setting for those who sign up fresh with the tax collection service is A_GEN_NOTAX sono tax will be collected for them until they go through each sku or change their global default.

This is a good idea that we will take under consideration. Thanks!

FBAPower defaults to 'A_GEN_NOTAX'.
If you want Amazon to collect tax on your behalf, review Chris' link and send a request to support at fbapower and we will toggle the setting. -

Take a look at these pages on Seller Central for more specific information about Amazon's tax handling:

I made sure my AZ settings are set to 'A_GEN_TAX' however, when submitting through FBA Power all items revert to 'A_GEN_NOTAX '.
After every batch I have to go into EACH new listing and correct the tax setting. This process has become even more cumbersome now that AZ changes everything to "inactive" so I have to wait til all items are rec'd in FULL before I can make the change. If there are several shipments going out in different stages - it's difficult to maintain.
Has this had any further review regarding implementing into FBAPower ? If not, What's the workaround? -
